Bringing Performing Arts & Arts-Based Education to the Klamath Basin
Experience live theater, concerts, and educational arts programs in a historic community theater with modern accessibility and community-centered innovation.
Timeless Character. Contemporary Experience.
Originally a 1940s movie theater, Ross Ragland Theater was reimagined in 1989 as a year-round, multi-cultural performing arts center serving south-central Oregon and northern California. We host a wide range of touring and local artists—from Grammy Award winners and classical musicians to community theater, dance, and family productions. Today, we blend historic character with modern amenities and accessibility to make the arts welcoming and inclusive. Whether you’re here for a show, a class, or a community event, you’re part of something bigger.

Community-Driven at Every Level
Backed by local supporters and recognized partners including the Oregon Cultural Trust and Travel Oregon, the theater reflects a shared commitment to access, quality, and community impact.
Accessibility Without Barriers
ASL-supported performances, assistive listening systems, and digital programs ensure everyone can experience the arts with comfort and dignity.
State-of-the-Art Experience
A Meyer Sound PA system, professional acoustics, and flexible staging deliver exceptional sound and sightlines for touring artists and local productions alike.
Arts Education for Every Age

"The atmosphere is inviting. Sitting in one of the private viewing areas, on the first floor, I imagined days of old while enjoying what was being presented before me. I have definite plans to return. A bit of modern with a huge blending of the old."
